Dallas is the 8th largest city in the United States. Dallas hosts
many annual events including the Cotton Bowl parade and the
Mobil Cotton Bowl Classic college football, the State Fair of
Texas, the Byron Nelson Golf Classic and Summer Musicals at
Fair Park. There are regular performances by the Dallas Opera
and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.
Dallas is a major transportation hub of the United States, located less than three hours from any major city in the continental U.S. It has two airports; DFW International Airport located between Dallas and Fort Worth, and Love Field. DFW Airport is the second busiest airport in the world.
The DFW metroplex offers an eclectic menu of things to see and do. The West End Historic District has over 80 shops and 55 restaurants plus entertainment. Deep Ellum, just west of downtown Dallas, is home to historic factories & warehouses that have been converted to lofts and unique living spaces. Deep Ellum is well known for its great nightlife with live entertainment, restaurants, & unique shops. Dallas has over 140 museums, galleries and artistic attractions. The Dallas Zoo has over 1,500 animals in a new setting. There are more restaurants per capita than in New York City, making the dining selection almost endless...and enticing. Dallas has an abundance of shopping malls and underground shopping. It also has more shops per shopper than any other city in the U.S., offering everything from designer originals to western chic.
Dallas has become one of the largest industrial centers in the United States. Planned industrial districts cover more than 99 million square feet of land in 157 industrial parks, making Dallas one of the fastest growing industrial park areas in the country.
Throughout the DFW metroplex there are many areas with their own uniqueness, giving the homebuyer a variety of choices and styles. Dallas has a western charm and south-of-the-border flavor all blended together in a high-tech, sophisticated setting, to offer its residents an enjoyable lifestyle.
